With a range of new Network Members joining the fold, our campaigns are based on the benefit of resources that Network Members can access at whatever stage of their business.
Willis Towers Watson Networks are now the only global broker backed Network and this is a great attraction to potential Network Members from many differing areas. A lot of our interest is being generated via social media platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter) as well as our virtual activity.
A growth area is the conversation with AR’s who are the next generation of aspiring Network Members. It has been very satisfying to encounter the passion of the new generation as well as look at some of the new areas of risk they are looking to cover and how we can help.
We attended virtual BIBA and have signed up to attend Expo at the Ricoh in person. We do undertake an active programme in inviting prospects to our own and Willis Towers Watson events programme, which really acts as tempting tasters to what they can access via Network for their own business benefit.
The purchase of the Marsh Networks by GRP in February came somewhat of a surprise to the Industry and it seems to a lot of their member Brokers. Those we have spoken to since the announcement indicate there is some uncertainty regarding what Hedron (the new name for the network) may hold. This may present an opportunity to have conversations about future options as time progresses. Since the initial announcement, we have had a number of conversations with Brokers who are exploring their options. One of our key USP’s is we are now the only Network with global broker backing, a point that has made a big difference over time and we will wait to see the effect it has going forward.
Our pipeline is strong and despite the current Covid circumstances, we find the appetite to talk is increasing and we are enjoying every conversation as we find out more about a potential Network Member. Here is one of those conversations that became a new Network Member.
We initially cold called Rob Thacker through his AR business with Momentum where he has built up a £1m GWP business in 12 months through longstanding client relationships. Our conversation with him revealed that he is also a shareholder of Pozitive Insurance, which had just become directly authorised by the FCA. The partners in this broker are Pozitive Energy, a supplier of gas and electricity services to commercial businesses. Pozitive are looking to provide wrap-around business services to their clients, including insurance. This is an exciting new entrant to the insurance market and Rob was quick to see the potential in joining Willis Towers Watson Networks to help them drive growth through the new broker, in addition to the AR business clients that will transfer to Pozitive as they fall due for renewal.
A great example of how an exploratory chat can quickly lead to doing business with what we believe will become a major player in the broker market.
